Genesis - Nassau Coliseum, 1981 - CD
In September 1981 Genesis released the album "Abacab", then promoted it with a European and North American tour which on the following November 29th stopped at the Nassaus Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The vintage radio recording now allows us to enjoy in full and for the first time on CD , the show opened by "Behind The Lines" by Phil Collins (released a few months earlier on his first solo album "Face Value" ) and including several songs from the new album he recorded with Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford ("Dodo/Lurker", "Me And Sarah Jane", "Man On The Corner" and the two hit singles "Abacab" and "No Reply At All "). The "old" Genesis from the period with Peter Gabriel are represented by performances of "Firth Of Fifth" and a medley between "In The Cage", "The Cinema Show" and "Slipperman", while after "Afterglow" and "Dance On A Volcano" the finale is dedicated to the drumming "duel" between Collins and Chester Thompson
