In the summer of '69 Led Zeppelin set out to conquer the U.S.A. After the success of their debut album in the states, the overseas audience was ready to meet the British band in person. Playing a string of festival gigs, the band turned down Woodstock, but they did top bill the Texas International Pop Festival. The American audience was treated to Zeps fresh take on blues classics with heavy guitars and driving drums. 'Dazed and Confused' was an important part of Led Zeppelin's live show in these early years, and became a vehicle for group improvisation, resulting in an almost 15 minute long version on this vinyl release.
